Handwritten diaries for the years from 1885 to 1886 with photocopies of the items and a letter dated 24 Jan. 1891 and addressed to Cannon's sons. Cannon writes about his imprisonment at the Utah State Penitentiary for polygamy and his subseqent experiences as a stake president for the Mormon Church in Salt Lake City, Utah.
